Aventon produces two e-bikes in our most popular Pace series: the 500.2 and 500.3. One of the most common questions we receive from customers is "How do I choose between the Pace 500.2 and 500.3?"

Pace 500.3 Electric Bike

Aventon Pace 500.3 vs. 500.2: Electrical Specifications and Key Features
Like all of Aventon's other e-bikes released this year, the Pace 500.3 is equipped with a torque sensor. the Pace 500.2 has a pedal frequency sensor that counts only pedal laps while providing power to the rider.
However, the torque sensor also takes into account how hard you pedal and distributes motor power accordingly. Therefore, adding a torque sensor to the Pace 500.3 results in a more responsive riding experience.
Aventon has also simplified the motor assist system and the Pace 500.3 now has 4 modes: Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo. you can also get on-demand throttle as the Pace 500.3 can now accelerate from a stop.
Range:
In addition to improving ride comfort, the torque sensor also increases the range of the Pace 500.3 as it can now travel up to 60 miles with pedal assist. This is a 20-mile difference, as the Pace 500.2 can travel up to 40 miles.
Turn signals:
Aventon has introduced turn signals with integrated taillights for the Pace 500.3. This safety measure was not available in the Pace 500.2, but it is a nice addition to the new generation. However, the Pace 500.3's taillights are positioned much lower than the previous model.
These turn signals are activated from the cockpit and turn off automatically after 15 flashes.
The Aventon Pace 500.3 features the same battery and motor as the previous model e-bike. the Pace 500.3 also ships as a Class 2 e-bike with a top speed of 20 mph, but you can convert it to a Class 3 e-bike through the configuration options available in the Aventon app.
Aventon Pace 500.3 vs. 500.2: Design, Size and Weight Limits
There are no design changes to the new Aventon Pace 500.3. Aventon keeps all the physical features of the Pace 500.3 the same as the Pace 500.2. Both Aventon e-bikes weigh 52 pounds, which is fairly light for an e-bike with this type of capability.
It shares the same upright cruiser frame, providing you with a comfortable riding position, and the swept-back handlebars provide additional comfort.
